Sheila Evans is a native Oklahoman and has lived in Bartlesville for over 50 years. She is happily married to her husband Gary with over 54 years of marriage. Together they have 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 7 grandchildren.
Sheila first became a Pilot member in 1985, 39 years ago, to join her friends and co-workers in a new club called Green Country Pilot Club. The club was chartered as a noon club from an evening club in town. The noon club was a perfect fit for young women that worked downtown. The ladies could meet, eat and take care of business, all within an hour. Most of the members had young families that needed attention and care in the evenings.
Sheila has held every position at club level, some several times, and every office position in the District, serving in some position several times there too. Sheila remembers when the Heartland District was formed 5 years ago to combine 2 smaller districts into a much larger one.
Shelia has held professional positions as a Trust Officer and Senior Vice President at Arvest Bank, retiring after 45 years of service. In her position, Sheila managed Trusts, Estates, and IRAs along with staff supervision. Sheila is thoroughly enjoying her retirement by spending precious time with her husband and visiting with family every opportunity she gets. She has enjoyed traveling and has worked together with her husband on a few home projects.
