Kathy Clancy

Director

Kathy was raised on a small dairy farm in Western Pennsylvania; the middle one of five children. Kathy attended college in Harrisonburg, VA where she earned a B.S. degree in Home
Economics. She also met her husband there, on a blind date.

Kathy has been a member of the Pilot Club of Harrisonburg for 32 years where she has served as Fundraising Coordinator, Projects Coordinator, Club Operations Coordinator, President Elect,
and President multiple times. Kathy has served the Virginia District as Fundraising Coordinator and Club Operations Coordinator, Secretary, and Governor Elect and Governor twice. Kathy
also is a member of the pilot Club of Danville; a cyber club started by Bobbi Hudson, a Past PI President. She has served as their Leadership Coordinator and PIFF Representative. She
served on the PI Expansion Committee since it began. She is now serving as International Director.

Kathy taught home economics for several years, then ran a drapery and upholstery business from her home while her children were young, and then she learned to scuba dive. She and her
husband owned a dive store for 29 years where she was a master instructor and travel director for the business. They retired 12 years ago. Kathy works with the Lifelong Learning Institute at
James Madison University on the Events and Lectures Committee. She loves to travel, spend time with family, read, watch TV, and work jigsaw puzzles.

Kathy and her husband Paul have been married for almost 55 years. They have 2 sons and a daughter, and 4 granddaughters.
