Pilot International, Inc. is pleased to announce Peggy Benton as the new Pilot International President.
Peggy Benton resides in Summerton, South Carolina and was a high school mathematics teacher for 30 years, retired. A Pilot for 15 years, Peggy’s home club is the Pilot Club of Clarendon, South Carolina.
Peggy is dedicated to Pilot and is a hard worker. 2020-2021 marks Peggy’s sixth term on the Pilot International Executive Committee, serving as director (2 terms), treasurer (2 terms), president elect and president. In 2012-2013 she served as Governor of the South Carolina District, and she was a personal assistant to 2013-2014 Pilot International President Judy Langley. Next year’s convention in Atlanta, Georgia will be Peggy’s 12th Pilot International Convention.
Peggy is an avid gardener and is the 2019-2021 treasurer of the Manning Council of Garden Clubs and secretary of the Alazlea Garden Club in Manning. Peggy is also a member of the Garden Club of South Carolina.
Peggy has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a Masters in Mathematics from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
