Meet Kortnee Winters, an exceptional volunteer and influential leader within the heart of Pilot International. Her incredible journey with Pilot started in January 2019. Her unwavering dedication and active participation across various programs and initiatives have made a profound impact, not only on the organization itself, but also on the lives it touches.

Kortnee's volunteer journey is characterized by her profound commitment to fundraising and nurturing families in need. She has consistently poured her time and energy into making a tangible difference in her community. Yet, what truly sets Kortnee apart is her impressive leadership journey. She currently holds the esteemed positions of Club Secretary and President Elect, outlining her steadfast commitment to influencing positive change.

One of Kortnee's most cherished moments as a Pilot volunteer was the act of preparing a heartfelt meal for families residing at the Ronald McDonald house. This selfless act of providing comfort and sustenance to those in need is a testament to her compassionate and caring nature.

Her dedication to Pilot International transcends geographical boundaries. She has taken part in numerous international service projects, with one particular standout being her involvement in crafting Fidget Blankets during the 2021 Convention in Atlanta. These experiences have enabled her to connect with kindred spirits from all corners of the globe, solidifying the profound global impact of Pilot's mission.

However, Kortnee's ultimate mark of success as a Pilot volunteer is most evident in her unwavering commitment to bringing joy and relief to those in need. Every month, she and her fellow Pilots make heartwarming visits to a residence for disabled adults. They share lunch, engage in various activities, and the beaming smiles on the faces of their cherished guests speak volumes about the positive influence she and her team have on their lives.

In her role as a fundraising coordinator, Kortnee plays a pivotal role in bolstering Pilot's projects. One project that shines brightly is the heartwarming dance event organized for special needs youth. They leave no stone unturned, hiring a professional DJ, serving a delightful dinner, and creating a themed wonderland. The outcome is a memorable and unforgettable experience for the children, evident in the radiance of their smiles and the precious memories they create.

Kortnee's devotion to Pilot’s mission extends to offering comfort and support to children in hospital emergency rooms. She actively contributes to the creation of Coping Kits, which include activities designed to alleviate stress during hospital visits, along with essential information to guide families through challenging times.

Looking ahead, her future goals as a Pilot International volunteer are driven by her desire to become even more engaged in club projects. While she has already made a substantial impact through her fundraising efforts, she aspires to take on the role of a District officer in the Northeast Potomac District, furthering her commitment to Pilot's mission and values.
