From Pilot Club of Baytown:
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s happened on October 5, 2024, returning to Bayland Park with several hundred in attendance and bringing close to $60,000. The goal remains at $70,000 and donations can be made until end of year by contacting a Pilot Club member or going to http://act.alz.org/baytown or by texting 2endalz to 51555.
Volunteers from IMPACT Early College High School, Lee College, Northshore and others arrived at the park at 6 am to prepare for the celebration. Volunteer DJ Cathy Camp entertained with music throughout the park beginning at 8 am and throughout the morning.
Pilot Club of Baytown’s 27th year to host the Baytown Walk, representative Judy Wheat, thanked the crowd, and announced pride that Pilot International has become a National Alzheimer’s team. Special thanks for Edward Jones, our National Presenting Sponsor, Marcontell Wealth Management, United Healthcare - nBaytown, Houston Methodist Baytown. Thankful for the Alzheimer’s Association, all sponsors and the event is possible because of the local Pilot Club members.
Walk day is “the biggest support group of the year” because we gather with others who understand this journey. Whether you’ve walked this road personally, or support the community, or
simply believe in the vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
