Even as a kid, Katie Marshall knew what she was loved: communicating, learning, and other people. As an adult, she actualizes these passions as a Communication Specialist at Volvo, where from interns to senior leaders, she creates and connects markets and employees around the world on the topics of diversity, inclusion, generational differences and networking. She is the co-founder of the Early Career Professionals Network, an employee group that creates and offers networking and professional developments that engage, develop and empower people in their first 10 years of their career. Most recently, she became the Editorial Director of Soul Anatomy – an online magazine that merges psychology, philosophy and personal narrative.
Along the way, Katie earned her degree in Communications at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, graduating as the student body president and eventually being named the UNCG Young Alumni of the year for her volunteer efforts, which included creating and launching an annual alumni and student networking event. She did a TEDxGreensboro Talk back in 2013 on finding success in the transition from student to professional, and is currently a student and the Communications Director at Southern Pine Institute for Martial Arts.
Katie seeks and thrives on transformative experiences – and has no intention of stopping. She’s filled with gratitude to be speaking with you today, and hopes that this will be yet another pathway to pursue her goals and connect with others.
