Mary Jane Morgan - PI Treasurer, Treasurer, PI Foundation

Personal/Professional:

Mary Jane retired in 2001 after 34 years of teaching middle and high school mathematics. During her career, she served as the advisor of the Alpine High School Anchor Club from 1981 through 1999. Service in professional organizations included Texas State Teachers Association (local elected offices and state board of directors), National Education Association, National Council of Teachers of Math and President of the local Parent Teacher Association, as well as on the State Board of Educator Certification Math ExCET committee and Master Math Teacher ExCET committee.

In addition to her Pilot activities, Mary Jane has volunteered with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Committee, the Leadership Big Bend Program, the Chamber of Commerce, Alpine Public Library Board of Directors, Friends of the Library, and is currently on the Board of Trustees of Alpine Independent School District. She is the Treasurer at the Church of Christ. She has been married to Vic Morgan, President of Sul Ross State University, for almost 40 years—their sons are Jeremy Morgan, a CPA who works at KPMG in Dallas, and the late Jason Morgan. They have two Bassett hounds, Lobo and Sully. Mary Jane enjoys reading, travel, cooking, and of course, volunteering.

Club:

Member of the Pilot Club of Alpine since 1979; she served on the Board of Directors and as Club President.

District:

Member of the Texas District. Served as Governor, Governor Elect, Region VIII Lt. Governor, and District Treasurer.

International:

Serving second year as PI Treasurer. Previously served as PIF Trustee and Revenue Development/Donor Recognition Division Chair.
